Custom Spa Construction in Metairie
A spa is small enough to sit almost anywhere in a Metairie backyard and heavy enough that where it sits matters. The foundation question comes before the design question.
Building a Spa on Metairie Ground
The high water table here means a spa needs a foundation designed for it, the same as a pool does. Concentrated weight on soft, wet ground is the thing that settles unevenly if it is not dealt with at the start.
The humidity matters too. Surrounds, cabinetry and any covered structure want materials that tolerate damp air year round, because here they get it.
TurnKey Pool Builders serves Metairie and the surrounding Jefferson Parish area.
What a Metairie Spa Build Involves
- A foundation for wet ground: Specialised foundations are what keep a spa level on Metairie soil. It is the part of the job nobody sees and the part that decides the outcome.
- Materials that tolerate humidity: Mould resistant materials around a spa are practical here rather than optional, given how much of the year the air stays damp.
- Built in or standalone: A spa built into a pool shares the plumbing and equipment. A standalone spa is simpler to place but carries its own foundation and service needs.
- Permits and placement: Setbacks, zoning and the barrier requirements apply to spas as well. Worth settling before the position is fixed.
